On-device processing

PaperLens is designed so document scanning, image cleanup, and optical character recognition happen on the device running the app.

Information stored on your device

PaperLens stores scanned pages, generated PDF or text exports, and temporary working files locally on your device so you can review, reopen, and share your results.

Camera and photo-library access

If you grant permission, PaperLens uses your camera only when you choose to scan a document and uses your photo library only when you choose an image to import for OCR.

Sharing

When you use share features, the files and text you choose are handed to the destination app, operating system service, or storage location you select. Those services operate under their own privacy policies.

Data we do not intentionally collect on our own servers

PaperLens does not intentionally upload your scanned pages, imported images, extracted text, or financial information to NeverAnAd-operated servers.

Children's privacy

PaperLens is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of PaperLens after an update means you accept the revised policy.
